Security System Planning

While many consultants view security strictly from the electronic system perspective, Kroll Security Group philosophy is to assist clients with developing a comprehensive security program that balances the three basic elements of physical security; architectural, operational and electronic systems.

Under this philosophy, we take advantage of passive solutions such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), and operational measures to address such issues as employee and visitor access, material handling, deliveries, waste removal, and other building operation issues.  Where electronic systems are required, we ensure that they are planned to enhance, not replace this holistic security approach.

Our typical Security Program and System Planning services include:

  • Review of site and building architectural plans to identify security issues and assist the client with developing solutions
  • Development of security staffing plans
  • Electronic system planning including system configurations, device applications and monitoring options
  • Cost estimating for initial system procurement, on-going system maintenance, security staffing and system monitoring
