Newseum / Freedom Forum Foundation World Headquarters

The Newseum / Freedom Forum Foundation World Headquarters occupies the last available site on Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Washington, D.C. The mixed-use 550,000 square foot building includes the Newseum, an interactive museum dedicated to the First Amendment and free press, and the foundation offices and residences.
Kroll Security Group was retained by Polshek Partnership Architects to provide full scope security consulting, design and implementation services which were consistent with the design team goals including:
- Design a building that would be an architectural icon
- Create a museum with the capacity for welcoming more than a million visitors a year
- Celebrate the First Amendment “Free Speech"
Kroll Security Group provided services including design and engineering of a comprehensive access control and alarm point monitoring system, integrated CCTV systems, intercom communications and a state of the art centralized Security Control Center.
