Kroll Security Group was retained by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to assist in the design and implementation of security systems for the Mount Sinai Center for Science and Medicine project. The project is a 39-story, mixed-use development which includes a residential tower built atop the research center podium.
The Center will be a 410,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical science and research facility, designed to compliment and meet the urgent expansion needs of Mount Sinai's existing world class research and clinical programs.
The Center will be comprised of Wet Research; Dry Research; Center for Translational & Molecular Imaging; Vivarium (without satellite space); Cancer Clinical; and Building Amenities / Support. Construction of the new Center is planned to begin in 2008 and to be completed in 2011.
