The Morgan Stanley Dean Witter project was initiated in 1999 as a Security Assessment of the Rotunda Lobby for its Headquarters located in Riverwoods, IL.  From there the project expanded and Kroll Security Group (KSG) was contracted to conduct a comprehensive Security Assessment and develop a Security Master Plan for the Riverwoods facility.

The scope of work for this project focused on establishing a standardized access control card for all corporate facilities and field office operating centers.  Evaluations of existing technical, operational, and procedural aspects were conducted for:

  • Site and Parking Security
  • Staff and Visitor Access Control
  • Special Interior Areas
  • Loading Dock Operations
  • Security Staffing
  • Lobby/Reception Control
  • Security Control Center Configuration
  • Access Control and Alarm Monitoring Systems
  • CCTV Surveillance Systems
  • Communications Systems
  • Photo ID System
  • Guard Tour System

Upon completion of this phase, Morgan Stanley contracted KSG to design and prepare contract documents and implement enhancements recommended in the Security System Master Plan.

From there, the projected grew to include expansion of the Support Services Building, Employee Services Pavilion, and Office Building totaling 150,000 square feet with a 4 level Parking Deck.
