Kroll Security Group (KSG) was retained by A. Epstein & Sons to complete full scope design and implementation security services for the west wing expansion project (Mc4West) at McCormick Place.
Managed by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), Chicago's McCormick Place is North America's premier convention facility and attracts more than four million trade and public show visitors annually.
The McCormick Place Complex comprises three state-of-the-art buildings, the South and North buildings and the Lakeside Center (the East building). These buildings have a combined total of more than 2.2 million square feet of exhibit space, 1.6 million square feet on one level, making it the nation's largest convention center.
This $850 million dollar project also features the largest ballroom in Chicago and the Arie Crown Theater. The entire McCormick Place complex is linked by a 50,000 s.f. - pedestrian promenade, referred to as the Grand Concourse, containing retail shops and other amenities.
KSG’s scope of work included security programming, planning and systems design, construction documents, bid review and recommendation, construction administration, and post construction administration.
