Kroll Security Group was retained by Kansas City Power and Light in 2001 to provide security surveys of their existing facilities and to assist them in consolidating their security operations.
Kansas City Power and Light is a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Plains Energy Inc., a leading regulated provider of energy related products servicing over 500,000 customers in 24 western Missouri and eastern Kansas counties. Their facilities include headquarters facilities, coal fired and natural gas turbine electrical generation facilities as well as customer service buildings and other support facilities.
Security Services included:
- Security Assessments
- Detailed field surveys to review existing facilities
- Assist in making recommendations for an electronic security systems consolidation plan
- Assist in developing uniform security standards for all facility types
- Designed and engineered an enterprise level Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System with integrated CCTV systems, into a centralized Security control center
Kroll Security Group continues to serve Kansas City Power and Light's needs by providing security consulting services as needed for system upgrades and new facility deployments.
