Kroll's Security Consulting team assists clients in mitigating their physical security risks against threats including terrorism, workplace violence, and theft. We evaluate a company’s vulnerabilities to these risks and determine the likelihood that a threat will be realized. We then recommend appropriate security measures for implementation to reduce these types of risks.
The purpose of the threat assessment is to determine which events or potential adversaries are most likely to cause appreciable harm to the client’s business operations, employees, visitors and assets. One of the first steps taken in this process is an evaluation of past security-related incidents and the ramifications to the client. Similar organizations and facilities may also be studied in an attempt to predict future occurrences that might tend to have similar adversarial effects. Crime statistics for the area are examined and projections on the future incidence of crime are also considered.
In addition to studying past criminal activity, our Security Consultants also carefully examine a clients’ business operations for clues of potential “holes” or likely adversaries. This helps us identify areas of the business that may not have been targeted in the past but are likely to be targeted in the future.
With this knowledge in hand, Kroll Security Group can provide a comprehensive evaluation of the company’s total security program and make recommendations for improvements.
