Kroll Security Group was retained by BELO, Inc. to assess its security posture and programs and to develop security policies and procedures.
A complete physical assessment of the facilities and programs was conducted and from those assessments a Corporate Security Assessment Report was issued detailing the findings and recommendations.
The assessment focused on physical security needs as well as a security strategy to address those needs. Security assessments were conducted for the following locations:
- The Belo Building - Dallas, Texas
- The Dallas Morning News Building - Dallas, Texas
- WFAA TV Studios - Dallas, Texas
- TXCN TV Studios - Dallas, Texas
- Belo Interactive - Dallas, Texas
- The Dallas Morning News North Plant - Plano, Texas
- WFAA Transmitter Site - Cedar Hill, Texas
- Belo Capital Bureau - Washington, D.C.
Phase Two of the project consisted of developing policies and procedures. This began with a review of existing documentation relating to corporate security policies, procedures and practices that were in place. Findings were presented and recommendations were made for a Corporate Security Policies and Procedures Manual.
