Kroll Security Group (KSG) was retained by Page Southerland Page in 1990 to complete full scope design and implementation security services for the Austin Convention Center, located in downtown Austin, Texas. The original structure included 410,000 gsf of convention center space, including Exhibit space, ballroom space and meeting rooms.
Managed by the City of Austin’s Convention Center Department, the convention centers growth and success led to a major expansion of the facility in 2000. This expansion project included another 400,000 gsf of space thereby doubling the size of the original facility.
KSG was again retained by the original architect, Page Southerland Page, to design, upgrade and expand the convention center security systems.
KSG’s scope of work included programming, design development, construction documents, bid assistance and construction administration.
